San Diego Part:2

Hi Family!  We're back to tell you the rest of our tale!

 (......finally!)

Let's see... where did we leave off? ...

We went to the beach...

Took all the usual pictures...

Daddy even found a new hobby!

...so did aunt Shuree?

We took tours of some great big ships!

I even got to be the captain!

I told daddy if he got tools like these, he would never loose them...

The submarines were really neat...

 ...but we were all glad to be out in the open air again!

I love the sea!

Medieval Times was awesome!

There were real knights and everything!

We were having so much fun,

we almost forgot to stop and take a picture!

Ha, Ha!  I love that one!

Now, seriously, smile for the camera everyone!

We were all so glad to have Aunt Shuree.

Jocie really thought she was something special...

...technically, I guess she is. 

It  was her birthday after all!

And what's a birthday without cake!

What was my favorite part?

I got to ride a big boy roller-coaster!

No, wait, that was the worst part...

Jocie and I were confused...

Were we at Sea World or the farm?

I guess Alauna was too... is this a horse?

We definitely wore ourselves out.

San Diego Part:1

Mommy and Daddy took us to "Sandy Eggo" to visit Aunt Shuree and Uncle Keith!

I can't show you all the pictures yet 'cuz a huge wave landed on Mommy and broke her camera!

Alauna Brielle was with her... They looked like they walked under a waterfall!

It was so funny!

DAY :1
On Monday, we went to the Mormon Battalion.
They dressed us up like pioneers. Mommy and Daddy thought we were cute...

but I don't get it. I didn't look anything like princess Aurora!

(Alauna doesn't know about princesses yet...)
All Zanden cared about were the big guns...

ugggh...BOYS!

We all really enjoyed our time with Daddy.

Anyway, that's all we've got for now. This is princess Jocelyn singing out...

Brigham City Temple Part 2

Late the night before, I found out about the scheduled mounting of the angel Moroni on the new temple. We HAD to be there... so I cancelled our appointments and we went!

We were so excited to see the angel on the ground level like this! There were so many people we weren't sure how well we would see it....

(You have NO idea what I had to do to get this picture... Perseverance pays!)
The wind stopped the progress for a couple of hours... but we were happy campers,
even in the rain!

Here we go!

A trumpet blew as the statue was lifted.

Once Moroni got up there, the placing of the lighting wire took awhile.

Zanden didn't mind... he had the attention of his Superheros!

Almost finished, they turned the angel to face East. The crowd cheered!
We watched them shake it to make sure it was secure, then they unhooked the cranes...

and another trumpet was sounded!

We were so grateful for such a rewarding experience. I hope the kids will remember this forever!

Independence Day

Dear family and friends,

We've had such a "screamin'" good time since last we've met...

We LOVED the 4th of July!!!

The parade was a hit!

There was flag tasting....

face making...

superheros...

and super squirrels???

It was all fun and games until I got put in a cage!

Anyway, I'll catch you around...

Sunday, we had a Big surprise planned! We told the kids we were going to a very special place...

The kids were very excited to see the temple! They remember going inside the Oquiarrh Mountain and Draper temples for their open houses; the temples have become a very important topic for them. It's amazing to see the spirit witnessing their sacredness to these tiny little bodies!

Zanden has been really interested in watching his "daddy's new work" go up step by step and was very fascinated to compare the building of the temple. He is very intrigued by construction and drawing architecture. He is so smart! I'm excited to see what he'll be when he grows up!






It has been a really neat experience for all of us to watch this beautiful temple come up from the very beginning since it's announcement. I hope we get to see them put up the angel Moroni next!

The temples are very special to David and I as well. I am grateful to be in a place where they are so prevalent! They are a constant, gentle reminder of the great love of God for us and of His promises to us; that all we have to do is our part and He is bound to those great promises! I am eternally grateful for such gifts!
