my grandma spoiled me

with 12 strands of beads!

11 marshmallows,

10 fingers to paint,

9 markers in a tote!

8 quilted blankets (no joke),

7 Disney movies,

6 girly socks,

5 gifts too many!!!

4 fireproof candels,

3 exhausted kids,

2 soccer balls,

and a pancake to feed an army!

We hope you all had a very merry Christmas and a
happy New Year!

Fall News Report

Reporter: Are you having a great fall yet?
Jocelyn: Yes, I am!

Reporter: What was your favorite part?
Jocelyn: Are you kidding me?  Burring Zanden of coarse!

Reporter: What was your least favorite part?
Jocelyn: There was this guy that wanted to give Alauna a haircut...

Jocelyn: We got outta there fast!  Needless to say,
from then on, we kept our distance!

Reporter: What did you dress up as for Halloween?
Jocelyn: I was a kitty!

Reporter: And your brother and sister?
Jocelyn: Well, Zanden was Iron Man of coarse!
(Jocelyn rolls her eyes)

Reporter: And Alauna?
Jocelyn:  She was Little Red Ridding Hood.

Reporter: What was your favorite part of Halloween?
Jocelyn: Is that a serious question? I mean, can you really not know the answer to that?

Reporter: Oh yeah, right, the candy.  And besides that?
Jocelyn: Well, there was the pumpkin decorating!

Jocelyn: Even though we weren't allowed to carve ours like Mommy and Daddy...

Jocelyn: Grown-ups have all the fun!

Reporter: Well, thanks for the interview Jocelyn.
Is there any thing you want to say to our readers?

Jocelyn: Yes.  Does anybody know why Mommy wants to "dress the turkey" for Thanksgiving?
I hope she dresses it like a kitty too!

The American West Heritage Center

This year we had the really great opportunity to volunteer at the American West Heritage Center
(think "This is the Place" but smaller).

I did it for the Haunted Hallow... I got to play Dr. Jekyll; check this out:

Pretty good, eh?

Some of my favorite Memories of the AWHC include:
 quiet time with my family,

seeing my creative boy's creations,

and picturing what my wife might look like in 60 years...
Yup, still hot!

Watching your boy become more and more like a man
is a pretty priceless gift!

Man, those were the days...

You want the definition of cute?...

It's Jocelyn and Alauna as pioneers!

Our wonderful summer has come and gone...

...like that beautiful elusive white peacock everyone tried so hard to capture a perfect record of.
If you haven't been, I "reckon" you should stop on by next year and give us a holler!

Later!
